I have been programming for a while now, and I usually use the MouseEvent API to make left mouse clicks. However, for many years I have wondered why this does not work within certain programs. Take some games for example, when they are windowed or on a website, all window APIs work. But in certain games, as soon as the focus goes on the game, no API (not even simple stuff like GetAsyncKeyState) work. Is there a reason for this?
