VS 2010 Why does the WebBrowser control appear to use an old version of IE?

Hey guys,

I just noticed something strange. I am on Windows 7, and I have IE9 installed on my system. But when I use the web browser control in VB (2010), it appears that it uses IE7!

I had assumed that the web browser control used the same version of IE as the one that was already installed on my computer, but I was just using it at a site and the site showed a popup stating I was using an outdated version of IE (IE7), so then I though what the @#$! and went to a few of those "what's my browser" sites, and they all said that I was using IE7!

How is this possible? Has anybody else experienced this?

And I guess the more important question is... how can I get the web browser control to use IE9 (instead of IE7)?? Normally I wouldn't care, but I want to take advantage of certain CSS3 functionality in this particular project, and IE7 doesn't support CSS3.

This is really weird...
