Need a little help with Data/Sorting/ Grouping

IT has been Awhile since I have done anything in VB (and I wasnt an good at it before) and Need a little help/kickstart to get me moving in the right direction on some datasorting.

I have a Table of items with 3 columns (DATE,TIME,ENTRY) and would like to sort them to display only the different dates

instead of This (each record shown int the datagrid)

12-12-2012 | 11:34 | 2294
12-12-2012 | 11:40 | 2339
12-13-2012 | 11:31 | 2392
12-13-2012 | 11:30 | 2395
12-13-2012 | 11:34 | 2294
12-16-2012 | 11:40 | 2339
12-16-2012 | 11:31 | 2392
12-16-2012 | 11:40 | 2339
12-18-2012 | 11:31 | 2392


i need to see only (only each individual dates

12-12-2012
12-13-2012
12-16-2012
12-18-2012


Can this be done with the select statement?
